Our Vision

Vision Statement:

We exist to see transformed lives empowered to advance God's kingdom.

Our vision is derived from Matthew 6:10. As Jesus was teaching his disciples how to pray, he tells them to pray, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven". At Kingdom Church, our heart is to see people from all walks of life have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ that results in the transformation of their hearts. We further believe our vision does not end in transformation but mission. We are called to help empower a missional people to advance God's kingdom to a lost and broken world.

Transform. Empower. Advance.

Our Mission

Our mission is found in what we call the 4 E's. These 4 E's are our guide to both making disciples and reproducing leaders to accomplish our vision.

ENGAGE communities & cultures with the Gospel. (Mark 16:15)

ESTABLISH strong biblical foundations in the lives of believers. (Matthew 7:24-27)

EQUIP believers with ministry skills to minister to others. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

EMPOWER disciples to make disciples locally and globally. (Matthew 28:16-20)

Our Pursuits

WE PURSUE BEING CHRIST-CENTERED. Jesus is the foundation of all we do. We must focus on and teach of the transformational power of Christ. We proclaim a whole Gospel that saves the lost and transforms the life of an individual. We want to create every opportunity for people to encounter Christ. We want people who are far from God and trying to work their way to God to find hope in God through trusting God. That only happens if Jesus is the center of what we do. He must be the center of our worship services, life groups, prayer meetings, outreaches, giving, etc. (John 3:16, Luke 19:10, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:8, Acts 4:12)

WE PURSUE SPIRITUAL FORMATION. We pursue intentional and transformational discipleship that helps to facilitate growth in our relationship with Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things become new. Salvation in Christ is not just a new statement, but we become new creatures and now we are being formed into who God has called us to be. This is the Great Commission mandate that we GO and make disciples who will then make disciples themselves. We hope this formation helps to build the believer in every aspect of their lives as we believe the bible has everything we need according to life and Godliness. (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8, Acts 10:14-15, John 15:16, Matthew 4:19-20)

WE PURSUE REDEMPTIVE COMMUNITY. We will pursue community beyond the normal passive friendships and into truthful, compassionate, and potentially challenging community that helps every person become who God has called them to be. This is a New Testament community. It speaks of sharing, growing, praying, and being together. This is a community where all ethnicities were present and welcomed. This community meets the needs of one another. This community prays for each other. This community ate together. This community spent time together. Ultimately, this community grew because they were a community. (Acts 2:42-47, Galatians 6:1-3, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Romans 12:16)

WE PURSUE RADICAL GENEROSITY. We value generosity. We give whatever we have for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom in the culture we live in. This means we give of our time, our talents, & our resources. Our generosity is a representation of us being on mission to the world. God is a generous God who gives generously to all without finding fault. God demonstrates generosity in not sparing the Son, but freely giving him to us (Rom. 8). Paul says of Christ, “He who was rich became poor that by his poverty we might become rich.” Generosity is at the heart of who God is and it is at the heart of the kind of people he invites us to become. Generosity is about more than money. It is about time and abilities as well. We are stewards, meant to see life as a gift that is stewarded for the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Matthew 6:19–21, 1 Peter 4:10)

WE PURSUE LOCAL FLOURISHING. We pursue the spiritual, social, and cultural flourishing of our city. We want to see healthy disciples in a healthy city. When Jesus told his disciples to pray that God’s Kingdom would come, we know that anything not under the Lordship and the reign of Christ should come under his reign when we pray. We must believe God as we are task to see acts of justice, righteousness, and mercy be done in our city. We are not pursing passively, rather we are pursuing passionately the heart of God in our city. Our city should be flourishing in every way and although we may not see it all now, we as a church are called to be first responders. Our schools, neighborhoods, children, families, & homes should be experiencing flourishing, and we must do all we can as a church to see our city flourish. (Micah 6:8, Isaiah 1:17,  Amos 5:24, Matt 23:23)
